Testimonials vs ratings vs private feedback

If those three share one inbox, your Wall of Love will either lie or stay empty.

A testimonial is a public story you have permission to show: text or video, with a name (or an explicit display-as choice). A rating is a score — CSAT, stars, smileys — for pulse and aggregate badges. Private feedback is a comment that must not appear on a widget or Wall of Love.

Most “testimonial tools” store everything as a testimonial and hope you remember to uncheck the angry ones. That fails the first week you run a post-purchase survey. Qintr makes the type a form-level choice. Reclassifying private feedback into a testimonial is an explicit action.

Use Testimonial forms for sales pages. Use Quick rating for in-app pulse. Use Private feedback after a sensitive delivery. Import belongs in testimonials after you approve it.
